Golf is a game for all ages and abilities. It is a game where you can exercise and socialise at the same time - catch up with friends and have a bit of healthy competition.
The handicapping system in golf means that people of different abilities are able to play and compete together. At the same time there are pathways supported by the regional and county associations and by England Golf, that will help aspiring golfers reach the very highest standards.
The beginner programmes below are currently suspended because of the Covid-19 measures. When restrictions are lifted, new dates for restarting the sessions will be announced.
These packages, run by PGA professional Mark McEvoy, are very good value for money at only £20.20 for 6 group sessions. Further structured support is planned to help beginning golfers take their new skills from the driving range to the golf course. This will be coupled to a programme of social activities for families and young people.
Golf clubs are available for all our begining golfers to use so you don't need to purchase any equipment to take part in any of these programmes.
