Towneley Golf Club prides itself on being a friendly and welcoming club. It was established in 1932 and has been providing excellent golf and clubhouse facilities to the local area ever since.
The original 9-hole course was designed in 1930 by James Braid and extended to an 18-hole layout in 1967 when the front nine holes were added. The course features mature trees and some well placed ponds, streams and ditches. This popular municipal course is an excellent test of golf and an enjoyable day out for anyone visiting.
Competitions are a regular attraction and tuition is available from the golf pro at The Prairie Sports Village if you're looking to brush up your game.
The clubhouse has all the facilities you would expect in a golf club and provides for a relaxing environment in which to enjoy a drink or meal after a game.
The club has met the standards set by England Golf and shares the mission of the SafeGolf partnership to "safeguard the welfare of children and young people as well as adults at risk, ensuring that all people have a fun, safe and positive experience in the sport of golf."
