As Captain of Towneley Golf Club it is my pleasure to offer you a warm welcome to this fine club, via our website.

I believe we have a well deserved reputation as one of the premier municipal courses in the North of England. We have a beautiful parkland course which is well maintained by our exceptional green keeping staff, allowing the course to be played all year round.

Visitors, societies and private functions are always welcome at Towneley. We trust that the course and the warm welcome you will receive from members and staff alike will provide you with a memorable and enjoyable experience.

I am honoured to have been elected as Captain for 2020. I have chosen to raise funds for Pendleside Hospice, and had also hoped to host a number of joint events with Lady Captain whose charity is the Alzheimer Society.

Sadly the golfing calendar, as well as much else we have come to take for granted, has been badly disrupted by the measures neccessary to contain the spread of Covid-19. We can only wait and see what we are able to do on the fund raising front if and when golf resumes.

Finally I would like to wish you good health, and lets hope we are all able to get back to playing golf again soon.
